one of few firmly attributable works hand of beauneveu psalter of jean de berry (paris, bibliothèque nationale, ms. fr. 13091), mentioned being work of artist in 1402 inventory of ducal treasury. beauneveu s contribution illuminated manuscript series of 24 full-page miniatures of enthroned prophets , apostles. prophets , apostles face each other across 12 openings, giving appearance of succession of diptychs. figures painted in grisaille , both , elaborate thrones on sit show evidence of keen interest in realistic three-dimensional modelling , foreshortening. style of miniatures show influence of jean pucelle, famous work, hours of jeanne d evreux, in possession of duc de berry time.
