donne 1 of founding members of devon , somerset wanderers cricket club, , part of team on there first tour in 1894 of isle of wight, 1 of 5 players castle cary cricket club represented great britain @ 1900 summer olympics, won gold medal in match against french side, donne scored 6 runs before being run out in first innings , didn t bat in second innings.


the castle cary cricket club, marked 175th anniversary in 2012, celebration of castle cary players played in 1900, whilst london games took place.
