most schools instruction in serbian located in vukovar-srijem , osijek-baranja county in area of former eastern slavonia, baranja , western syrmia rights on education in minority languages provided during united nations transitional administration eastern slavonia, baranja , western sirmium based on erdut agreement. today schools there kantakuzina katarina branković serbian orthodox secondary school in zagreb.


in school year 2010-2011, 3.742 students attended kindergartens, primary , secondary schools in serbian. 59 educational institutions offered serbian language education year , 561 educators , teachers worked in them. in school year 2011-2012 total number of students 4.059 in 63 educational institutions , 563 educators , teachers worked in them. number of classes or groups in period increased 322 353.


as chair @ department of south slavic languages, faculty of humanities , social sciences @ university of zagreb has chair of serbian , montenegrin literature. among others, lecturers of serbian literature @ university on time included antun barac, Đuro Šurmin , armin pavić.
