rugby union has been growing in united states @ high school level, both through high school athletic departments , school-sponsored activity clubs , through independent rugby clubs no school affiliation:



rugby became 35th sport of massachusetts interscholastic athletic association (miaa) in 2016, following 2015 miaa vote passed wide majority. of 2015, there 19 boys’ teams , 5 girls’ teams in massachusetts, majority of catholic conference schools fielding rugby teams.


in 2017, 668 boys single-school , multi-school teams active during 15s season.
