the first of external stowage platforms, called esp-1, installed on port side trunnion pin on outer hull of destiny laboratory module on march 13, 2001 during second eva of sts-102 space shuttle mission. powered unity module , has 2 attach points store orus.


esp-1 carried orbit on underside of integrated cargo carrier. smaller other esps , elcs, dimensions approximately 0.46 m wide 2.4 m long, , differently shaped.

fram-1 pump flow control system (pfcs) added sts-102 crew
fram-2 direct-current switching unit (dcsu) added sts-100 crew
