since revival in 1850s, celtic cross has been used extensively grave markers. straying medieval usage, when symbol typically used public monument. celtic cross appears in various retail items. both gaelic athletic association , northern ireland national football team have used versions of celtic cross in logos , advertising. church in wales since 1954 have used flag celtic cross in centre.
