the dome, known dome , exhibition complex large indoor venue circular shaped floor plan , ceiling 42 metres in height. has 7,200 square metres of floor space, can expanded 21,600 square metres when combined adjoining exhibitions halls 2, 3, & 4.


during olympics, hosted finals team handball , of preliminary basketball games. 4 other pavilions constructed during games host badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, handball , indoor volleyball events, shooting , fencing part of modern pentathlon competition.


the dome , adjacent exhibition halls used trade shows , large corporate functions. dome used film tv shows, including 2008 series of gladiators australia , episodes of junior masterchef australia 2011.
