in 1904 second stand added of earliest known terrace in country nicknamed spion kop. club having achieved promotion first division year, due additional capacity attendances reached on 20,000 matches. however, numbers of these crowds dipped, in no small part manor ground s being relatively isolated , located within industrial area few local residents.
