the puente project program offered @ de anza helps underserved students transfer 4-year institutions. puente means bridge in spanish, symbolizes bridge program builds students reach higher education. puente made of 3 key components: english, individualized counseling, , individual mentoring. puente students transfer de anza @ higher rate non-puente latino students—61% of de anza’s puente students transfer within 6 years.

comptechs

comptechs stands computer technical support internship program offered @ de anza college gives students opportunity gain hands on experience working computers. qualified students in program may chance work in paid industry-based internships in departments @ roche pharmaceuticals, synopsys inc., fujitsu computer systems, fujitsu america, flextronics, photon dynamics , vmware. students receiving financial aid eligible apply receive free refurbished computer. donated computers refurbished interns of comptechs.

vasconcellos institute of democracy in action (vida), formerly called institute of community , civic engagement (icce), community service learning , civic engagement office de anza college. vida coordinates community learning partnership s work @ de anza.
