the skeleton of adult male found partially healed rib fractures, supports theory males used horns fight each other. no creature living in megacerops time , area except megacerops have inflicted such injury. breathing movements prevented fractures healing. adults may have used horns defend , calves predators, such hyaenodonts, bathornis or nimravids.
