hoping rebound tough overtime road loss raiders, jets went home week 8 duel kansas city chiefs. in first quarter, new york took flight qb brett favre completed 18-yard td pass rb leon washington. in second quarter, chiefs tied game qb tyler thigpen completed 19-yard td pass te tony gonzalez. jets answer washington getting 60-yard td run. kansas city closed out half thigpen completed 11-yard td pass wr mark bradley.


in third quarter, chiefs took lead kicker connor barth nailed 30-yard field goal, yet new york replied rb thomas jones getting 1-yard td run. in fourth quarter, kansas city got lead again cb brandon flowers returned interception 91 yards touchdown. fortunately, jets pulled out win favre completing game-winning 15-yard td pass wr laveranues coles.


with win, new york improved 4–3.


during halftime, jets celebrated 40th anniversary of super bowl iii championship team.
