the exhibits opened in 2000. in 2007, underwent re-branding campaign adding aquarium official name. shark reef aquarium officials stated re-branding intended present actual nature of habitat, members of public confused shark reef name bar, lounge, restaurant, etc.


in 2012, shark reef aquarium replaced signage , audio-wands of each exhibit various interactive touch screens throughout facility.
