like technology of photography itself, practice of wedding photography has evolved , grown since invention of photographic art form in 1826 joseph nicéphore niépce. in fact, photograph, recorded 14 years after fact, may recreation camera of 1840 wedding of queen victoria prince albert. however, in days of photography, couples of more humble means did not hire photographer record actual wedding itself. until later half of 19th century, people didn’t pose formal wedding photos during wedding. rather, might pose formal photo in best clothes before or after wedding. in late 1860s, more couples started posing in wedding clothes or hired photographer come wedding venue.
