there 3 pre-season friendlies announced on 9 may 2012, began final of 2011–12 central league cup against manchester city elite development squad @ pride park on 4 august, there trips local clubs belper town , matlock town. central league cup against manchester city elite development squad postponed in july due city not being able name fulfil fixture due lack of players being available selection on date of match, game rescheduled @ later date. behind closed doors friendlies replace club s reserve league games.



pdl2 – north

derby withdrew central league, instead entered new u21 professional development league 2 – north, formed under controversial eppp, formulated premier league. derby started season away leeds united on 22 august , ended regular season @ home coventry city on 8 april. play-offs between north , south divisions decide national champions. semi-finals being on 4 may , final on 11 may.
