the property purchased in 2006, funding construction not secured until 2013. developed silverstein properties, tower designed robert a. m. stern architects. in may 2013, silverstein properties secured $660 million construction financing. tishman construction managing project. construction began in fall of 2013, building topped out in 2015, , installation of exterior , windows finished in august 2015. hotel celebrated grand opening on september 19, 2016. second tallest residential building in downtown manhattan, after 70 pine street.
