atlanta – hamlet in northeast part of town @ junction of county roads 36 (east main street) , 39 (university avenue) formerly known bloods. founded around 1840. cohocton river changes east-flowing south-flowing @ atlanta. presbyterian church of atlanta listed on national register of historic places in 2010.
bowles corners – location in northwest corner of town on ny-21 , county road 37.
cohocton – village adjacent interstate 390 in south part of town. period in 19th century, called liberty.
kirkwood – hamlet northeast of cohocton village on ny-371.
north cohocton – hamlet in northeast part of town @ junction of ny-21 , ny-371. community dates before 1850.
