the wingspan 33–41 mm. forewing brown, basal , terminal areas mixed white towards costa; median space darker , reddish below middle; thick black streak base below cell, below basal area darker; inner , outer lines black conversely edged white, inner angled on submedian fold, outer white patch before on same fold; black bar between 2 lines along it; upper stigmata large, mixed white, , black-edged; orbicular flattened; subterminal line whitish black teeth below middle, above middle marked black subterminal dashes between veins; hindwing brownish, paler towards base.
