in march 2012, announced college had been granted university designation new jersey state secretary higher education , change name. on august 14, 2012, saint peter s announced official change on website, becoming saint peter s university.


in 2013, new mcmahon student center completed.


in 2014 university opened center undocumented students, providing them safe space , mentoring, resource library, legal support, , advice them , families deportation defense , immigration issues.
